This is a four-day residential retreat designed for high-functioning professional men. It offers space away from constant demand — without clinical language, group therapy or spiritual performance.
Welcome to our retreat for men nestled in the Hereford countryside — a place for men’s wellness and wellbeing, where they can rediscover themselves away from the noise of their modern, busy lives. Through hands-on craft, time in nature and genuine human connection, our 4-day men-only retreats help even the most burned-out executives return home steadier, clearer and more themselves.
Set in a rural UK location, the retreat combines physical activity, practical craft and guided reflection to restore clarity and perspective. This is not escape. It is recalibration.
Each retreat follows a clear and deliberate four-day arc — enough structure to hold you, enough space to breathe.
Day 1 — Arrival & Grounding
Settle in, find your feet and begin to exhale. The first evening is spent around the fire, getting to know the land and the men beside you.
Day 2 — Activation & Craft
Morning movement and breathwork set the tone. The day moves through hands-on rural craft, long walks, shared meals and honest conversation.
Day 3 — Depth & Integration
Tai Chi, continued craft work and optional cold water exposure. The afternoon creates space to explore what’s really going on — around performance, pressure and perspective.
Day 4 — Closing & Return
A morning walk, a closing circle and the tools to carry it all home. You leave with clarity, not just memories.
The schedule is deliberate. There is space — but not drift.
The Setting & Accommodation
The retreat is located at Wormsley Grange, which is a beautifully renovated country house set in 4.5 acres of private grounds in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside — the perfect base for four days of genuine reset.
With plenty of space for our group in individually designed rooms, the house offers the comfort and calm needed to truly step away from the outside world. Beyond the walled garden, over 200 acres of rolling farmland and ancient woodland wait to be explored — the kind of landscape that makes it easy to leave everything else behind.

No. The Rural Reset is not therapy, group counselling or a clinical intervention. It is a structured, preventative retreat designed to provide space, perspective and practical resilience tools. If you are currently experiencing acute mental health distress, this retreat may not be appropriate. We can advise privately if unsure.
High-functioning professional men who operate under sustained responsibility. Most participants hold senior roles or run businesses, carry pressure at work and at home, are not in crisis, want space without clinical framing, and value practical, grounded experience. You do not need prior retreat experience.
The retreat includes walking, light-to-moderate movement (Tai Chi, breathwork), hands-on craft and optional cold water exposure. Activities are adaptable. You do not need to be highly athletic. You should be reasonably mobile and comfortable spending time outdoors. Medical disclosures are confidential and allow us to ensure safety.
Clothes suitable for the outdoors and variable British weather, comfortable layers, sturdy footwear for walking on farmland, and a willingness to step away from your phone. Everything else — accommodation, meals, facilitated sessions and equipment — is provided. A full kit list is shared once your place is confirmed.
No. Cold water exposure is optional. It is offered as a practical resilience tool, not a test of toughness. Participants are fully briefed and supported.
Each cohort is limited to 10 participants. This ensures depth of conversation, psychological safety, individual attention and a cohesive group dynamic. The retreat is deliberately small.
No one is pressured to disclose anything. Facilitated conversations are structured and voluntary. Many participants find value in speaking openly — but participation is always your choice.
Phones are not confiscated. However, participants are strongly encouraged to minimise use. The aim is reduction of noise, not enforcement. Emergency contact arrangements are in place if required.
Retreats are hosted in carefully selected rural UK venues. Locations are chosen for privacy, natural landscape, quality accommodation and suitability for small groups. Full details are provided upon booking.
Price includes three nights' accommodation, all meals, all facilitated sessions, craft materials and movement and breathwork instruction. Travel to the venue is not included.
Most men's retreats in the UK sit at one of two ends of a spectrum — either heavily therapeutic and emotionally intensive, or outdoor adventure-focused. The Rural Reset occupies different ground: structured but not pressured, physically active but not a bootcamp, grounded in nature and craft rather than ceremony or group therapy. The rural Herefordshire setting, the small cohort size, the hands-on craft element and the deliberate four-day arc make it a genuinely distinct option for men who want substance without performance.
Deposits secure your place and are non-refundable. If you need to withdraw, we will make reasonable efforts to transfer your place to a future retreat where possible. Full policy details are provided at booking.
No. The Rural Reset is secular. Practices such as Tai Chi and breathwork are used for their physical and nervous system benefits — not spiritual framing.
Places are offered by application rather than direct booking. This is not about exclusivity — it is about ensuring the group is the right fit for everyone attending, including you. The application takes a few minutes and asks for basic details about what draws you to the retreat. If suitable, a brief informal call is arranged before you are invited to secure your place.
Apply. A short call will follow to ensure mutual fit. If the retreat is not appropriate, we will say so.
